William Curley offer nostalgia gourmet style

Ah William Curley, gourmet chocolate producer extraordinaire. Established in 2004 by Suzue trained in Cordon Bleu (having worked at Claridge’s and The Savoy) and William (who has worked with Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons and was head chef patissier at the Savoy), the brand was an endeavour to create the best chocolate/patisserie business this side of the channel. Their hugely successful Richmond boutique led to the opening of another venue in Belgravia.

William Curley pride themselves on innovation and good quality products without additives. Since 2007 William Curley has won the Academy of Chocolate’s ‘Best Chocolatier’ award four times.

Not only does William Curley provide a range of fabulous chocolate goodies but a nostalgia range with luxury being imperative. We all remember Bounty, Twix, Snickers from our childhood (and adulthood!), but why have an additive-laden version when you can indulge in childhood classics gourmet style.

The Nostalgia Coconut Bar consists of white chocolate and toasted coconut ganache in Toscano 70% dark chocolate. It’s a truly luscious treat and the rich dark chocolate is heaps better than the sickly, milky Bounty – the poor cousin of William Curley’s luxury creation.

Nostalgia Millionaire’s is a caramel sensation, with traditional all-butter shortbread topped with sea salt caramel and coated in 66% dark chocolate. You’ll never want a Twix again and it’s a thicker more decadent tasting bar to boot, again without all the artificial flavourings.

I’m a sucker for a Mar’s and a Snickers, so the Nostalgia Peanut Nougat Bar with salted peanut caramel, also coated in 70% Toscano dark chocolate is my hands down favourite. I just wish they were all available in my local supermarket :-( (.
